As a true lover of Golden Retrievers, and a longstanding member of the Kansas City Golden Retriever Club, I have been raising, breeding and loving Goldens for nearly twenty years. I have an extensive background in dog training, having been awarded the AKC's highest obedience award, the Obedience Trial Championship, won with my first golden, 'Nickie'. I am a professional dog groomer and training instructor (and own my own grooming/training/daycare business aptly named LUV DOGS). I started my career with dogs working in the veterinary field and soon became a groomer, started training my own dogs and teaching other people, so breeding my own wonderful dogs just became a natural thing for me to do.

My litters have produced many fine dogs, and many of these dogs have won titles in the show ring, including my own dogs, who have attended the AKC National Agility Championships numerous times. Two of my SureFire girls are AKC Master Agility Champions. My litters are constantly tended to with all my care and love. I am dedicated to producing Golden Retriever's that make wonderful companions and I will only place them in homes where they will get the maximum of care and love.

My Goldens are very important members of my family. They live with me in my home with my other dogs. SureFire Golden Retrievers are AKC registered. They excel in obedience, agility, and fieldwork and are wonderful housemates. My dogs are all born and raised on holistic, all natural foods, with no preservatives (see Solid Gold). Proper nutrition is a big part of a dogs life and longevity. Besides my dogs living indoors, their proper health care is of greatest importance to me. As a responsible breeder, I take careful measures to ensure that my dogs are healthy and free from congenital diseases prior to breeding. My Goldens undergo careful screening for hip, heart and eye problems, and are both OFA and CERF certified. My dogs are regularly checked by my veterinarian and vaccinated. Puppies are vet checked and vaccinated, and come with a veterinary certificate of health.

I guarantee the health of each puppy, and offer a replacement guarantee against hereditary disorders as detailed at the time of sale. In bringing puppies into the world, I believe that it is my responsibility to ensure that each puppy is placed only with a family who will love and cherish it for life. Each of my puppies are carefully socialized from the time it is born to the moment it is placed in it's new home. Sure Fire just do it Niki
Niki ( Ny-Key )is a wonderful little girl and a delight to live with. She has many talents as a show dog and a star on Hallmark greeting cards. She is small in size, twenty-one inches at the shoulders and weighs forty-eight pounds. She carries a lovely coat, golden in color with strong, black pigment.

Niki’s dad, AFC Rosehill’s ‘Mr Speaker’ is a field champion and her mom, Sure Fire Caus’n Commotion ‘Copper’, is a beautiful girl from one of my Sure Fire Golden Wind ‘Jammer’s litter. Light colored Jammer, who has many titles but is now retired, is still here, keeping an eye out over her great-great grandpuppies. Copper, who lives nearby, is darker in color, and a wonderful working dog.

Niki shows in the Obedience ring, Agility, and field hunting. She is still very young and has lots more work to do. She loves people and sleeping on the bed is one of her favorite things to do. She has become a very loving mother and her puppies are just delightful. Any one of them will be a wonderful dog to have.
